znt automation components

 

The znt automation components (zac) represent a powerful toolset & framework for the mapping of automation tasks above the control level. Within medium complex environments, zac also covers the MES level. Within complex applications, zac integrates the control level in MES. An outstanding attribute is the high availability of our solution which guarantees smooth and successful process integration (24x7).

Toolset

The znt automation components cover complete implementations for a series of standard automation functions (Toolset), which only have to be configured accordingly in new application contexts. They have been developed based on our znt Java Developer Frameworks, which functions as a development and runtime environment. Due to the object-oriented concepts of inheritance, it is possible to add further customised functionalities quick and easy.

The zac framework allows a high level of openness and integration of comprehensive customised automation processes. The typical zac application area is within the automation levels above the control and field level and below the planning level, zac takes over the controlling of production cells or line level. To establish the communication to the superior planning systems, usually customer-related interfaces have to be integrated.

    Equipment integration within the semiconductor industry

  • zspc, Statistical Process Control
    Industry-independent tool for process-oriented SPC tasks, suitable for closed-loop control and APC (Advanced Process Control) application

  • zcon, zfactoryConnect
    Integration, data acquisition and production monitoring

  • zpoints, Production Order Integration
    SAP integration of production orders, material completion confirmation and material supply


Framework

The zac components are based on a combined Java Framework, which implements system architecture for automation tasks. Important performance features are:

  • User interface technology: zac framework-based GUI’s are operated either as remote thin clients or in web browser environment, meaning that there is only one uniform, slim and automatic installable browser application necessary. All zac GUI’s can be integrated in web-portals such as zcon, SAP Enterprise Portal or other 3rd party portals.

  • Provision of object persistence for a secure, interruption-free and maintenance-free operation of automation solutions in the 24x7 process.

  • Testing environment: The zac framework contains a wide test support for unit tests and component tests as well as numerous logging- and debugging functions.

  • zac applications are 100% pure Java and therefore run on all important platforms such as Windows, Unix and Linux.
