zspc Statistical Process Control

Our product zspc is a tool for statistical process controlling of the znt automation component (zac) family. zspc is mainly for the use in the process-oriented field.

Zspc uses a 3-tier architecture on the basis of zac frameworks. Thus, all basic performance features of zac are available. The tool can be easily integrated into varied application environments.

General performance features

  • Platform independence: zspc is a pure Java application. Thus, zspc can be applied in every operating system environment.

  • Scalability: zspc can be used as a stand alone application or as a company-wide server application.

  • Expandability. The multi-tier technology makes it possible to distribute the functions into different nodes within the network.

  • Thin Client GUI’s: As a zac application, zspc has a Thin Client GUI. It is possible to access the SPC server many-times with a universal, slim Client application with a low data rate. zspc can be integrated in web portals.

  • Customisation Service: znt-Richter offers consultancy for the set up of SPC concepts and installation of SPC entities.

  • Optimal configurability: Configuration via mouse-click control charts as well as the calculation rules behind it, can be adapted to the requirements of the process engineers. New cards can be set up on the basis of existing card libraries.

  • High Availability: By means of an integrated, maintenance-free data management system, zspc is available day and night. zspc operates on Windows, Unix or Linux Cluster servers.

  • Maintenance: Due to the central installation of the zspc server, administration is simple and straightforward.  The Thin Client is installed on the computer in the production system (pure Java), where automatic distribution and update functions are available.

SPC Functionality

zspc enables to monitor the processes and machines within the production line. All normal SPC control charts such as xq, Median, Range, s, Variance, moving average and moving range are contained in the standard scope. Moreover, Original Data Charts and Shewart Charts are available.

All evaluations may be combined as desired in one card for optimal overview. The Chart Layout corresponds to the guidelines of the DGQ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität e.V.) specifications.

For the acquisition of data, several interfaces exist such as

  • File interface
  • SQL-database access
  • TibCo
  • VFEI-Format
  • Corba Event Broker
  • Corba Standard IDL
  • Java RMI
  • TCP/IP-Sockets

Further interfaces can be integrated with little effort using upgradeable templates.
