The znt-Richter Group combines technological innovation with environmental responsibility and social integrity.

As a medium-sized family-owned company, we are convinced that sustainability is not an add-on, but an integral part of our corporate strategy. We act transparently and fairly, with the goal of making a positive contribution to both our employees and society.

Climate Protection and Resource Conservation

The foundation of our efforts is the systematic tracking and analysis of our greenhouse gas emissions through the annual calculation of our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF), which we conduct in collaboration with our partner, ClimatePartner.

Based on this data collection, we implement measures to conserve resources and protect the climate. These include, for example, promoting remote work and digital communication, as well as sourcing electricity from renewable energy sources. When procuring IT hardware and materials, we also prioritize energy efficiency and durability. At the same time, we have established a resource-efficient waste management system by minimizing waste through the reuse and recycling of equipment.

Furthermore, we offset a significant portion of our emissions by supporting certified climate protection projects, including, for example, the targeted expansion of renewable energy in Asia and tree-planting initiatives.

Social Responsibility

We promote a safe, respectful, and equitable work environment. Our initiatives to support our employees’ well-being include flexible work arrangements, ergonomic workstations, and an Employee Assistance Program.

In addition to our focus on our employees, we are also committed to giving back to the community: Each year, we provide financial support to selected local projects—another key component of our social responsibility efforts.

Fair Business Practices & Compliance

Integrity and transparency are the foundation of our corporate culture. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and unfair competition, and we are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

Our Code of Conduct establishes a binding ethical framework for the conduct of all employees, defining clear standards for integrity and responsible behavior.

To detect violations early on, we offer a confidential, external reporting channel in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG).

Recognition of our Commitment

As part of our commitment to society, our employees, and the environment, we have our sustainability practices assessed annually by EcoVadis. EcoVadis is a leading global provider of sustainability assessments for companies. The EcoVadis assessment covers 21 sustainability criteria across four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In our most recent assessment, which was completed in May 2026, we received a bronze medal, placing znt-Richter among the top 35% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis. Further details and information on the award's methodology can be found in our company profile on EcoVadis' website.
